Tin Can Smartphone turns a user’s Android smartphone into an SMS gateway with a documented REST API.

Developers and businesses can send and receive SMS through the phone’s SIM via HTTP — useful for automation, notifications, and integrating SMS into existing backends without a traditional SMS aggregator.
