What is Tin Can Smartphone?
Tin Can Smartphone (also known as SMS-Api-Gateway) turns your Android phone into an SMS gateway. You send and receive SMS through the phone’s SIM using our web UI or REST API.
Do I need an Android smartphone?
Yes. The companion Android app runs on your device, connects to your account, and handles SMS on the SIM.
How does sending and receiving SMS work?
After you create an account, install the app, and log in, your SIM cards appear in the dashboard. Outbound SMS go from our API to the app and out via the SIM. Inbound SMS are exposed through the API and webhooks.
Can I sign up right now?
Registration is invitation-only. Visit Sign up for status, or contact us for early access. Existing users can sign in.
