The Tin Can Smartphone app is the official smartphone app for Android: it extends your phone with a REST API. After you download the app and sign in, it quietly handles SMS in the background — so you can keep using your phone as usual.

How Tin Can Smartphone works: your project and AI agent talk to our REST API and MCP server; our cloud reaches your devices; your devices text your audience

App Description

Technically, the app is triggered when a new SMS arrives or when outbound messages are queued — so it stays light on battery. Inbound SMS are sent to our platform and can be forwarded to your backend via webhooks. Outbound SMS from the REST API are queued in the backend; a silent notification tells the app to send them through your SIM.
