SMS gateway service via smartphone

Tin Can Smartphone is an SMS gateway service via smartphone: your Android handset and SIM become the radio layer, while our cloud exposes a REST API, web UI, webhooks, and MCP tools.

Unlike classic CPaaS numbers, traffic leaves and enters through a phone you control. That keeps a recognizable local number for recipients and uses the plan you already pay your carrier for. The SMS gateway service via smartphone model is designed for developers who want HTTP control without renting short codes for everyday traffic.

Send SMS through the SIM in your phone

Receive inbound SMS and fetch them via API or webhooks

Manage SIM cards and messages in your account

Integrate with your own backend using HTTP and access tokens

What you get

Outbound SMS are queued in the cloud and delivered by the Android companion app. Inbound texts and delivery events can hit your webhook endpoint as JSON. Optional MCP tools let AI agents send SMS, read OTPs, list SIMs, and check gateway status with the same token auth model.
